Our current venue at the Kings Hill Centre West Malling is going very well, being we opened just before Christmas as a taster but knew full well it was the wrong time to open but we saw the potential. The idea was brought about following a 40th birthday party for a enthusiastic couple Lee and Leigh wanting a salsa evening including a dance teacher at there residence in Kings Hill. They booked my services via yellow pages. I installed the sound and lighting system in a huge marquee which they had erected on the rear of there house, Incidentally I prefer to do this than to have possible problems during the evening. Planning is the key to a good function especially since they had invited over 60 guests, they wanted something rather special so I booked Mitchell and John as guest salsa teachers for the evening, this went down extremely well so much that they really wanted a regular night somewhere on Kings Hill. I offered this to Mitchell and John but they did not pursue this opportunity. So I thought I'll give it my best shot and arranged a few teachers namely Nelson Campos and his dancing partner Caroline from Maidstone with two other teachers Pat and Lyn from the Medway towns. I advertised mainly for the Kings Hill community but the words got about now and we have people from all areas so up to now it seems to be going well, And yes the couple previously mentioned Lee & Leigh turn up every week.
We meet up every Friday, doors open at 7.30 pm. Warm up about 8 ish lessons 8.15 till about 9.30 with a 5 minute break in between. Club dancing afterwards till 11.15 pm.    Quality sound system and lighting, candle lit tables for a bit of ambiance, what more can you want for £6. This is a ' Bring your own drinks venue ' which works well .....we supply the glass's.
For those who wish to come along and join in the fun, we have absolute beginners to Intermediate classes. Its fairly easy to find, from the A20 use the A228 towards Tonbridge, Kings Hill is sign posted and on Friday's I personally put 4 Salsa signs up pointing you in the right direction.
